In a recent sermon entitled "The Aroma of Christ Among the Nations" from II Cor 2:12-17, Dr. John Piper made the following comments about Joshua Project:

"... Or you could go online to joshuaproject.net which I do recommend that you do. I don't know of any site more helpful or clearer for getting unreached peoples before you than joshuaproject.net where you will learn things like this, which I did just yesterday to refresh the details. According to their rigorous way of doing statistics 15,988 distinct ethno-linguistic peoples exist in the world. Of these 6,572 are unreached if you define unreached as having fewer than 2% Christians. 2.6 billion people live in those unreached people groups."

"Joshua Project is a strategic and highly-valued ministry, and I encourage you to invest in it generously. Two recent developments have positioned Joshua Project for even greater influence in the days ahead. First, the vibrant and fast-growing non-Western mission movements are making increasing use of Joshua Project services. Second, Joshua Project is now a ministry of the U.S. Center for World Mission, creating synergies with other USCWM ministries such as Mission Frontiers magazine, the Global Prayer Digest, and Perspectives and giving Joshua Project even higher visibility and leverage. Please join me in helping Joshua Project to appropriate this new day of exciting opportunities to promote even greater Kingdom advance among unreached peoples."

Darrell Dorr
Managing Editor, Mission Frontiers

"I have had the privilege of observing the birth and growth of the Joshua Project ministry. This ministry has already been used of the Lord very significantly and has great potential for the future. Joshua Project provides infrastructural support for the incredibly important task of reaching out to the unreached people groups of the world with the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. This unique servant ministry is committed to Christ and the advancement of His Kingdom. I highly recommend them to you along with the significant ministry of the Joshua Project."

Dr. Paul Cedar
Former Chairman, Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization

"I am thankful for the dedicated servants of Joshua Project. They have selflessly ministered to the Body of Christ by doing a fantastic job of preserving and updating the files of the unreached peoples of the world. They exhibit a Christ-like spirit in the midst of their many responsibilities by their ready willingness to assist someone with an urgent need. I am delighted to commend the "Joshua Project" team and do so without any reservations."

Rev. John E. Kyle
Senior V.P. EFMA

"The Joshua Project team already have a fine track record of providing excellent information to the Body of Christ to guide its efforts to reach the unreached peoples of the world. The kind of global information on the peoples of the world they are gathering and disseminating is absolutely crucial to guiding our total mission endeavor in the 21st century."

John Robb
Former International Coordinator, Great Commission Roundtable

"Since the mid-1990's the body of Christ worldwide has had an increasingly accurate set of data on the world's unreached peoples, continually updated and expanded from thousands of sources around the world. The steward of this incredible database has been the Joshua Project team. To lose their function would be an incalculable loss to the global church. It must be preserved and enhanced until the task of world evangelization is complete."

Bill Waldrop
Former Facilitator of Intl Ministries, Mission America
Former President, ACMC

"Joshua Project provides a much needed information base to mission agencies today. In partnership with other ministries, Joshua Project effectively facilitates global outreach."

Thomas Wang
Former International Chairman, AD2000 and Beyond Movement

"I feel that the Joshua Project database will be one of the greatest tools to help bring closure to the great commission. There is no other tool that has as much information about the peoples of the world as the Joshua Project database. By using this database we have been able to target and focus our church planting efforts on unreached people groups. With the help of the information in the Joshua Project database we have been able to start close to 1000 new church in West Africa since 2001. Many of these churches are in Unreached People Groups. Every person who has a heart for missions should use this database."
