Belbali of Algeria |
|
Introduction / History The Benbali speak the Korandje language. They live in the Tabelbala Oasis area in southwestern Algeria. It is notable for being the only town in Algeria to speak a language neither Arabic nor Berber. Its only significant transport link to the outside world is a paved road connecting it to the main Bechar-Tindouf highway some seventy kilometers away. Much prayer and evangelistic work is needed to lead these Muslims to the Truth. Text source: Allan Starling and Robert Thorne |
