Three major evangelical denominations are represented in their area, with over 70 congregations. The New Testament translation into the Basketo language is making progress, with three books finished and two others drafted. The Jesus film is available in their language. Challenges currently facing the Basketo include beginning a mother-tongue literacy program in preparation for the publication of Scripture portions.
