Introduction / History
As he watched the Tarkhan men laboring over the construction of the new building, Daiwik felt helpless. Though he was skilled with tools, he was not skilled with words. He wondered how he would he tell his family and friends that he had chosen to follow Jesus.
Like every other Sikh, Daiwik had been brought up to believe in reincarnation. Although he hadn't questioned it as a boy, when he reached adulthood, he realized how hopeless reincarnation was. When someone told him about a risen savior providing a way out of the hopelessness, Daiwik listened. The message made sense. He decided to ask God for forgiveness and for the gift of eternal life. He made Jesus his Lord.
But now, faced with telling his father, his brothers, and the friends he had known since childhood, he was fearful. Would they listen to him? Or would they chase him away? Still watching the men work, Daiwik prayed for wisdom. Suddenly he had an idea. He had read in the Bible that Jesus was a carpenter before He began His ministry. Perhaps he could somehow use this fact to introduce his carpenter caste people, the Tarkhans, to Jesus.

Prayer Points
* Pray for the good news to be clearly made known to the Tarkhan people.
* Pray for those who respond to be used by God to tell their friends and families about the salvation available in the carpenter who became the risen Lord and king.
