Linguistically, the Dime belong to the Omotic language family. The Dime people live in the North Omo Administrative Region. Their territory consists of a mountain range of less than 20 kms width and 55 kms length, which stretches from north to south.
Their neighbors are the Chara to the north (across the river Omo), the Basketo to the north-east and east, the Aari to the southeast, the Mursi and some Surma to the south-west, and the Bodi (Me'en) to the west. They have 47% lexical similarity with the Banna.
They use terracing when tilling the land and grow maize, barley and enset (false banana).
Those the Dime still practice traditional religion, they also have a strong Evangelical presence.
The Dime can be Christ-bearers to the lost in Ethiopia.
Pray for the Lord to purify his church in Ethiopia, especially among the Dime people.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to move in the Dime homeland, driving them to take Christ to the lost.
Pray that soon Dime disciples will be making more disciples.
