The Kuraans are an Algerian Arabic speaking people who live in Khartoum.

Among the Kuraans, extended families are the norm. They have strong kinship networks. The family structure is patriarchal, meaning that men have the most power, though women control household affairs. Being primarily Muslim, some men have up to four wives. The families usually arrange marriages. They involve dowries and celebrations.

Kuraans are unusual they are mainly Muslim, but they also have a significant Christian minority.

What Are Their Needs?

Kuraans face food shortages and economic hardships, largely because the fighting in Sudan has destabilized the entire nation. Instead of improving infrastructure and protection, the government is fighting insurgents.
