Introduction

It's easy to find out who a Yadav is. Just ask them their name and they will tell you their first name followed by their title, which is always Yadav. The Yadav are a caste comprised of milkmen, cowherds, farmers and laborers. Their traditional occupation is animal husbandry and selling animal products. They consist of both landowning and landless. Some Yadavs are businessmen, teachers, doctors, engineers and political leaders.

Ministry Obstacles

Typically, believers try to win Hindu people one at a time and put them in a church fellowship. The problem with this is it isolates them from their families and often causes family members to equate following Christ with rebellion. It may be better to wait patiently for family elders to come to Christ rather than pull people out of their natural families.

Outreach Ideas

Pray for the Followers of Christ

Pray for the Entire People Group

Pray that Yadav family leaders would follow Christ and open the door for entire families to do the same.
Pray that Christ would show himself just, merciful and mighty to the Yadav, making them curious to know more about him.
Pray that Yadav believers would be strong family members who will lead by drawing others to the foot of the cross by their example.
Ask God to give believers strength to weather the storm of persecution which new believers often face.
