Introduction

The majority of the educated Arain community is involved in work fields involving business, law, politics and government. Due to the geographic spread of where Arain live, the Hindu Arain speak at least six different languages and read and write in three others. Their community’s primary language is Hindi, which allows them to communicate with the majority of the north Indians and many of their Urdu speaking neighbors. Hindi and Urdu are mutually intelligible. Their community mainly focuses on marrying within their caste and community extending it to cousins being married. In terms of inheritance, sons are favored more than daughters with more left for them. Village councils of the Arain are in order to promote their interests and settle disagreements. Sugarcane farming is the main income cash flow for Arain farmers.

Ministry Obstacles

At the moment, there are no Christ followers in this community. This makes it harder to create community engagement to help them seek Jesus and find the truth. Ideally, an entire family or clan will accept Christ together.

Outreach Ideas

Pray for the Followers of Christ

Pray for the Entire People Group

Pray that the Holy Spirit would soften and open the hearts of the Arain Hindu and prepare them to hear the gospel and accept it.
Pray for the Lord to raise up a generation of Arain Christ followers.
Pray that Indian Christians would gain resources to reach out to their Arain neighbors.
Ask God to give wisdom to people to pray faithfully for the Arain of India.
