Introduction / History

The Mallaah of India are by tradition boatmen. In Bihar their name is linked to peoples whose traditional work is on rivers.

Though most of the Mallaah are Hindus there are Muslims among them too. There are Muslims in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh too. They speak Bengali.

Many of the Mallaah work in cultivation. In North India they have a caste association to look after them.

Mallaah Muslims also live in Pakistan.

Prayer Points

* Pray that as the Mallaah read the Koran about Jesus that they will read the Bible and give their lives to Jesus Christ.
* Pray that God will give the Mallaah dreams and visions leading them to salvation.
