Introduction

There are many Rajput subgroups; among them are the Saithwar. Though many Rajputs are still in the armed forces or own land, many have moved on to other livelihoods. Some Saithwar Rajputs now own impressive hotels where tourists can be introduced to their history and culture. Saithwar Rajputs who aren't so fortunate work as small businessmen. They try to marry their daughters into clans of higher rank than their own. Some Rajput clans have a higher status, so families want their daughters to marry men from that group.

Ministry Obstacles

Saithwar Rajputs have high status in India, and many other groups identify with them. Christians, by contrast, usually have low status. It will be difficult for any Rajput to associate with these Christians.

Outreach Ideas

Pray for the Followers of Christ

Pray for the Entire People Group

Ask God to give the Saithwar a spiritual hunger for the word of God and for his truth.
Ask God to raise up disciples who will then make other disciples among every Saithwar Rajput family.
Pray that the Saithwar Rajput community will increasingly grow in awareness of Jesus, his life and his sacrifice for them.
Ask God for humility from the Holy Spirit to spread throughout all Rajput communities and to increase their desire to fall at the feet of the King of kings.
