Introduction / History

Mongolian Americans are those who have whole or part Mongolian ancestors. This also includes Mongolian immigrants such as those from Inner Mongolia in China.

Some Mongolians came to America in the middle of the last century. Most of them now came late last century and this century when Mongolians could emigrate.

California has the largest Mongolian community. Many live in Oakland and San Leandro. There are many living in Koreatown in Los Angeles where there is a Mongolian speaking church. They also live in Illinois, Virginia and Colorado.

Many of the Mongolians are Buddhists. They speak Mongolian and English. There is the Mongolian American Cultural Association that promotes Mongolian culture.

Prayer Points

Pray that Mongolian Christians in America will lead the others to Jesus Christ.
Pray that the gospel will continue to be allowed to be preached in Mongolia.
