Introduction / History

Valencia is a region in eastern Spain with its own language and culture. Vanencian is more likely to be spoken by those who live along the coast than those who live inland.

What Are Their Lives Like?

Vanencians have their own special culinary dishes. One is their own version of paella, a rice dish. They also have a sweet pastry called bunyols and orxata, a sweet drink.

Valencians have made their mark in Spain through the arts, sports, politics and business.

What Are Their Beliefs?

Most all peoples native to Spain, the Valencians are Roman Catholic, but they have a secular bent.

Valencians have served as missionaries, and some have been given the title of saint. Two of them were popes during the Middle Ages.

What Are Their Needs?

Like all peoples, the Valencians need to put Jesus Christ first in their spiritual lives.

Prayer Points

Pray for a movement within the Roman Catholic Church in Spain that will give Jesus the place he deserves as King of kings.

Pray for Jesus loving Valencians to disciple others to make more disciples.
