Moger in India

The traditional vocation of the Moger was hunting and gathering, and the name Moger is derived from a Tulu word meaning rabbit. At present, many are employed as agricultural laborers. They are Hindus and worship spirits such as Panjurli, Kallurti, Guliga, and Bobbariya. They accept water and cooked food from those considered to be high castes. They are divided into several matrilineal clans. They marry across clan lines but not outside the Moger community.

Ministry Obstacles
Most Moger live in Karnataka, described as South India's most spiritually needy state. They face the threat of militant Hindus in that state.

Scripture Prayer
Pray for many from today’s people group to tell of God’s power and goodness to others.
