Jalia Kaibartta in Bangladesh

The Jalia Kaibarta were originally aborigines who later became part of the Hindu community. They are a scheduled caste. The Jalia Kaibarta speak, read and write in Bengali. Some live in Bangladesh or India's northeastern states of Tripura, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Fishing is their main work. Some of them work in laboring and agriculture. Some are teachers and others do admin work. Their education level is improving.

There are only about one in a thousand Christ followers among the Jalia Kaibartta in Bangladesh that can tell their about the loving savior. They will need to hear it from others in this country where the vast majority are Muslim.
