Bole in Nigeria

The Bole are known for their hard work, educational advantage, and connections. They are in virtually all sectors of the Nigerian economy, including public service. The region where the Bole people reside includes the terrorist group Boko Haram, which seeks to unleash mayhem, fear and ethnic cleansing.

Ministry Obstacles

The presence of terrorist groups in the home area of the Bole brings an extra measure of danger and difficulty in taking the gospel to the Bole people.

Outreach Ideas

The presence of terrorist groups can also be an impetus for the Bole to seek the Lord's protection and blessing.

Prayer Focus

Christians have lived in the region in which the Bole people live for a long time, but the number of Christian believers within this tribe today are very few. Pray that the Lord would protect them from terrorist groups and would give them eagerness to serve Jesus. Pray for peace throughout the homeland of the Bole tribe, as well as all of northeastern Nigeria. Pray that gospel radio would become increasingly available throughout Nigeria, and that these broadcasts would include the language of the Bole people. Pray also that gospel recordings (which are available in this language) would be widely circulated.
