Balkan Egyptian in Montenegro

Balkan Egyptian in Montenegro

The Balkan Egyptians are closely associated with the Ashkali people. Some have associated them with the Roma Gypsies, though they would disagree. They speak the same language in the countries where they live, and they also practice the same culture and traditions. Balkan Egyptians and Ashkalis have only recently become a recognized ethnic group. Thousands left the Balkans for Western Europe during the wars following the breakup of Yugoslavia, and others were deported. They are victims of economic and social discrimination.

Ministry Obstacles

They are Sunni Muslims, who depend on their obedience to the Koran to please Allah. They know nothing of the love and provision of Jesus Christ for their eternal welfare.
