Introduction / History

The E'ma Buyang people also go by Buyang E'ma. E’ma is a subgroup of the greater Buyang group. They have their own language also called E’ma Buyang, which is one of the Kam-Sui languages. Their homeland is in southern Yunnan Province.

The E'ma Buyang produce beautiful handwoven embroidered goods and cloth. They enjoy their own forms of music and dance during celebrations and festivals.

E'ma Buyang religion blends Buddhism, Taoism and animism. However, their traditional animistic religion dominates their lives.


What Are Their Needs?
