Salvadorians are those who are citizens of El Salvador, Central America. El Salvador has faced many times of troubles. Political instability has plagued them off and on for several decades. They don t have the resources to recover from natural disasters quickly. For these reasons, there is a Salvadorian diaspora in six countries. Most of these are either in Europe or North America. A small number of Salvadorians live in Italy.
Like the Salvadorians who live in other countries, those in Italy want to make money that they can send to family members in Central America.
Salvadorian culture has Spanish and Native American elements. They prefer bright colors in their clothes and art. Their cuisine includes black beans, fried plantains, tamales, and pupusas. Pupusas includes a thick corn tortilla filled with meat or vegetables covered with pickled cabbage and hot sauce.
Though Roman Catholicism is dominant among Salvadorians, there is an exceptionally high percentage of Evangelicals among them. Salvadorians can serve God as his ambassadors in Italy.
They need the spiritual hunger it takes to embrace Christ no matter what people say.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to do a powerful work in Salvadorian families and churches in Italy.
Pray for their communities to be blessed as they put their faith and hope in the Lord.
Pray for Salvadorians to disciple the least reached people in Italy.
